Jakarta to host major industrial and e-commerce expos in 2026

Two major industrial exhibitions are scheduled to take place in Jakarta in late 2026, aimed at boosting Indonesia's industrial competitiveness and strengthening economic ties with China.

The Indonesia International Paper Chain Industry Expo (IIPCIE) 2026 will be held from August 27–29 at the Jakarta International Expo. Organized by the China National Chemical Information Center and the Indonesian Pulp and Paper Association (APKI), the event will focus on new technologies, automation, and sustainable production methods. It will run concurrently with several other packaging and bakery industry exhibitions to facilitate broader business networking.

Following this, the China (Indonesia) International E-Commerce Industry Expo (CIEIE) will take place from September 3–5, 2026. This expo aims to enhance digital trade and industrial connectivity between Indonesia and China. The event will include the China-Indonesia Green and Innovation Exhibition, showcasing advancements in artificial intelligence, new energy vehicles, and digital infrastructure. Officials noted that the expo serves as a platform to provide global market access and investment opportunities for various business scales, from local startups to large enterprises.
