Jakarta's Seribu Islands Beach Clean and Mangrove Planting Led by Democratic Party

The Democratic Party’s Jakarta branch organized a beach‑cleaning and mangrove‑planting operation on Pulau Lancang in the Seribu Islands on 7 August 2026. Party faction leader Ali Muhammad Johan said the activity aims to protect the coastal ecosystem and curb erosion, emphasizing that “preserving the coast requires the involvement of many parties” and that the effort is part of the party’s 25th‑anniversary theme “Blue Sky, Beautiful Indonesia.”

The event involved party cadres, supporters, local community members and environmental groups, who together cleared litter from the shoreline and planted mangrove seedlings to promote a sustainable, green environment for future generations.
