Jakob Korber charged with homicide in Pennsylvania mother's death

Jakob Korber, 29, has been charged with homicide following the alleged beating death of his mother, Christin Hamilton, in Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred Sunday morning on the front porch of their residence.

Surveillance footage captured Korber arguing with Hamilton before launching a violent assault using his hands, feet, and multiple objects. Authorities stated the assault lasted for an extended period. Hamilton was discovered unresponsive by a resident around 9 a.m.

Following the attack, Korber fled into a wooded area and reportedly slept in a nearby field. He later surrendered to Pennsylvania State Police after being seen walking near the residence. During a police interview, Korber allegedly confessed to causing his mother's death. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on September 14.
