Jakub Piotrowski to undergo heart surgery, missing four weeks

Udinese midfielder Jakub Piotrowski will undergo surgery to correct a mild cardiac arrhythmia discovered following a match against Lazio. The medical decision aims to permanently resolve the issue and ensure the player can return to professional football in optimal condition.

Piotrowski is expected to be sidelined for approximately four weeks. He will miss Udinese fixtures against Inter Milan on September 14, Cagliari on September 19, and potentially the match against Torino on October 12. The club's medical staff aims to have him available for the game against Lecce on October 18.

The surgery also impacts the Polish national team, as Piotrowski will miss upcoming Nations League matches against Bosnia, Sweden, and Romania.

Additionally, the Udinese medical staff is monitoring Oumar Solet, who is currently undergoing assessments for an adductor injury to determine his recovery timeline.
