Jakup Krasniqi's son calls KLA trial in The Hague political

Altin Krasniqi, son of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leader Jakup Krasniqi, has expressed hope for an acquittal in the ongoing legal proceedings in The Hague. Speaking in an interview, Altin described the six-year judicial process as being driven more by politics than justice.

He argued that there has been a lack of credible evidence or testimony incriminating the KLA's war efforts, suggesting that some evidence used in the trial may have originated from Serbia. Altin noted the personal toll the long absence has taken on his family, mentioning that his father has become a grandfather four times without being able to fully participate in family life.

Despite the stress of the waiting period, Altin emphasized his pride in his father's contributions to the KLA and expressed anticipation for a verdict that adheres to European judicial standards.
