Jalen Brunson leads Knicks discussions following championship season

Following the New York Knicks' championship season, Jalen Brunson continues to be a central figure in NBA discussions. Analyst Kendrick Perkins has criticized Brunson's omission from the NBA's Top 5 players list, arguing that Brunson's performance in the playoffs justifies placing him ahead of Luka Doncic. Perkins noted that Brunson has been a consistently reliable leader in the Eastern Conference.

Within the Knicks organization, Tyler Kolek is working to secure his role despite a crowded roster. Kolek has expressed a desire to be more aggressive in the paint and more efficient around the rim, citing Brunson's midrange and finishing abilities as key elements to emulate. Kolek emphasized the team's championship mindset and their goal to pursue further success rather than being satisfied with a single title.
