Jalen Brunson cleared for basketball after surgery and set to host SNL

New York Knicks captain and 2026 NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson has been officially cleared to return to basketball activities following offseason surgery on his left wrist. The procedure addressed a tendon issue that Brunson reportedly played through during the Knicks' championship run. He is expected to be ready for the team's training camp starting in late September.

In addition to his athletic recovery, Brunson is making his hosting debut on the Season 52 premiere of ‘Saturday Night Live’ on NBC. He becomes the first active NBA player to host the program since LeBron James in 2007. The premiere episode features the global girl group KATSEYE as the musical guests and introduces new cast members Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter.
