Jalisco municipalities approve property tax value increases for 2027
Municipalities in Jalisco are implementing increases to cadastral values, which will impact property tax (predial) calculations for the 2027 fiscal year.
In Guadalajara, the City Council approved a revenue law project that includes a significant increase in the unit value of certain constructions. Specifically, properties classified as ‘Antiguo 2’—those over 41 years old—could see a value increase of up to 21.18%. Industrial properties may see an increase of up to 21.38%. Critics have noted that these increases will disproportionately affect traditional neighborhoods and consolidated zones such as Oblatos, Santa Cecilia, Analco, Huentitán, and Miravalle.
In Tepatitlán, the municipal council unanimously approved new cadastral value tables. Construction values for certain classifications will increase by up to 10%, while land values and rural properties will see a general 10% increase. Additionally, the municipality approved a 2027 revenue law with general tariff adjustments ranging from 3.4% to 7.10%. The Tepatitlán updates also include a new land classification for ‘silos’ and provisions related to the Irapuato-Guadalajara Train project.
