Jambi police launch large patrols and curb fuel‑subsidy fraud
A combined operation involving 109 personnel from the police, the army, local municipal police and the transport department carried out a night‑time patrol across Bungo district, Jambi, on 18‑19 July. The patrol targeted illegal street racing and motor‑gang activity but reported no incidents, while urging young people to avoid such dangers.
In a separate enforcement action, a joint team of police investigators, the city’s industrial office and Pertamina inspected several fuel stations in Talang Kawo, Jambi. Inspectors found duplicate vehicle registration numbers and two misuse‑coded QR barcodes intended to steal subsidised solar fuel. About 11,000 counterfeit barcodes were blocked, though queues of trucks at the stations remained long. Officials said fuel dispensing measurements were within normal limits.
