James Acaster reveals details of Julie Hesmondhalgh’s banishment from Celebrity Traitors

Comedian James Acaster has disclosed that the true reason for Julie Hesmondhalgh’s banishment from the reality series Celebrity Traitors was omitted from the final television edit.

According to Acaster, the broadcast version suggested singer James Blunt led the campaign against Hesmondhalgh because she had received the first shield. However, Acaster claims the actual conflict arose from a misunderstanding regarding the sharing of theories. After Acaster advised Hesmondhalgh to be cautious about who was being forthcoming with information, Hesmondhalgh pointed out to the group that Blunt was not sharing his own theories. This led Blunt to perceive her comments as evidence of lying, resulting in her being voted out.

Acaster also provided behind-the-scenes information regarding the production in the Scottish Highlands, noting that contestants stay in modest hotels located approximately an hour away from the filming castle.
