James Bond casting rumors intensify following actor and writer comments

Speculation regarding the identity of the next actor to play James Bond has intensified following comments from actor Gary Oldman and screenwriter Steven Knight. During an interview on The Morning Show, Oldman suggested that a successor to Daniel Craig has already been selected, noting that he is rooting for his colleague Jack Lowden. While Oldman did not explicitly confirm Lowden as the new 007, the actor's remarks have fueled existing rumors.

Adding to the speculation, screenwriter Steven Knight declined to deny that a decision has been made during an interview with BBC Radio 4. Knight, who is writing the next installment for Amazon MGM Studios, remarked that knowing the actor makes the writing process “a little easier,” though he emphasized the importance of writing the character rather than the actor.

The upcoming film is expected to be directed by Denis Villeneuve, with Amy Pascal and David Heyman serving as producers. No official title, release date, or cast members have been announced by the studio.
