James, Earl of Wessex, begins studies at Royal Agricultural University
James, Earl of Wessex, the 18-year-old son of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, has begun his undergraduate studies at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, the Earl opted to proceed directly to university following the completion of his A-levels rather than taking a gap year. He will undertake a three-year degree program focusing on Rural Land & Property Management, which includes studies in estate management, rural business, and consultancy.
The university academic schedule follows a semester-based system, with classes set to run from late September through December. The young royal is transitioning from his family residence at Bagshot Park to student accommodation in the Cotswolds for the duration of his studies.
