James Gunn confirms filming wrap for DC Studios ‘Man of Tomorrow’
James Gunn has announced that principal photography for the DC Studios film ‘Man of Tomorrow’ has officially wrapped. The production, which began in April, is moving into the post-production phase ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on July 9, 2027.
As a sequel to the 2025 film ‘Superman’, the story features David Corenswet returning as Clark Kent/Superman. He will be joined by Nicholas Hoult, playing Lex Luthor, as the two characters are forced to form an unlikely alliance to combat the superintelligent alien threat, Brainiac, portrayed by Lars Eidinger.
The ensemble cast includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Milly Alcock as Supergirl, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner. Actress Adria Arjona is also part of the cast in an undisclosed role, which has led to significant fan speculation regarding whether she is portraying the character Maxima or Wonder Woman. Arjona has noted the intense physical training required for her role.
Separately, reports indicate that Paramount intends to maintain leadership continuity at DC Studios following its impending merger with Warner Bros., with plans to keep James Gunn and Peter Safran in their current roles.
