James Gunn expresses interest in Batman Beyond film for DC Studios
DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has expressed interest in developing a live-action Batman Beyond film. While no official project or timeline has been announced, Gunn noted that the property, which originated in animation, could make for a good movie.
Separately, rumors suggest that the new DC Universe (DCU) version of Bruce Wayne may make a surprise appearance in the upcoming Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow. Reports indicate the actor playing Batman could be introduced during the film's final sequence or in a post-credits scene to lead into the standalone Batman film, The Brave and the Bold. Gunn has previously confirmed that the DCU Batman story will include Damian Wayne as Robin.
Meanwhile, the Matt Reeves-led sequel, The Batman: Part II, has reportedly been delayed to February 2028.
