James Gunn provides production update on DCU film Man of Tomorrow

Director James Gunn has provided an update on the production of the DCU sequel, ‘Man of Tomorrow’. According to an image shared on Threads, the film has been in production for over 85 days.

The sequel will feature David Corenswet returning as Clark Kent/Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The plot reportedly involves Superman and Luthor teaming up to face the supervillain Brainiac, played by Lars Eidinger, marking the character’s first live-action appearance.

Other returning cast members include Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Milly Alcock in a cameo role as Supergirl. The ensemble also features Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. ‘Man of Tomorrow’ is scheduled for theatrical release on July 9, 2027.
