James Webb Space Telescope captures new images of Lion Nebula

The James Webb Space Telescope has captured new, high-resolution images of the Lion Nebula (NGC 2392). Located approximately 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Gemini, this planetary nebula is characterized by two elliptical lobes of matter extending from a dying star. Scientists believe a dense ring of material expelled during the star’s red giant phase has shaped its unique appearance.

Additionally, the telescope has provided new views of the Carina Nebula, capturing detailed imagery of the structures within its core.
