Spanish running events see record participation in Albacete and Jaén

Several major running events in Spain are seeing significant growth in participation. The XXIX Ciudad de Albacete Half Marathon has reached a record 4,350 registered runners. The event, which features a 21-kilometer course approved by the Real Federación Española de Atletismo and World Athletics, includes elite athletes from Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Morocco.

In Jaén, the 30th anniversary of the Jaén Half Marathon and the 10K Paco Manzaneda have also seen unprecedented demand, with all 3,800 available spots sold out more than a month before the November 15 race. This edition introduces a new single-lap circuit and cash prizes for top finishers.

Additionally, the 11th edition of the Ciudad de Algeciras Half Marathon is scheduled for October 3. The race will start and finish at the Enrique Talavera stadium, covering 21 kilometers through various landmarks in the city.
