Overview

Major running events across Spain are experiencing record-breaking participation levels.

In Sevilla, the 38th Carrera Nocturna del Guadalquivir KH7 set a record with 26,000 participants. The event required special mobility, security, and cleaning measures, including traffic restrictions and road closures near the Paseo de las Delicias route.

Other regional events have also seen unprecedented demand. The XXIX Ciudad de Albacete Half Marathon reached a record 4,350 registered runners, featuring elite athletes from Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Morocco. In Jaén, the 30th anniversary of the Jaén Half Marathon and 10K Paco Manzaneda sold out all 3,800 available spots more than a month in advance.
