Jan Hoffman’s Krakow mayoral bid gains signatures as activist Piotr Kubiczek leads collection

Activist Piotr Kubiczek, who became a prominent face of the recent referendum to recall Krakow’s city authorities, is now gathering petition signatures for Jan Hoffman’s candidacy in the city’s early mayoral election. Hoffman, the chairman of the District I Stare Miasto council, is running for president of Krakow and is supported by the electoral committee “ReferendumKRK: NaprawiMY Kraków.”

Kubiczek’s signature drive serves both as a formal requirement for registering Hoffman’s candidacy and as a test of the campaign’s organisational capacity, including volunteer numbers and outreach to residents across Krakow. The effort follows a pattern of mobilising the community that was built during the earlier referendum campaign.
