Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava announces Brahms and Bartók programs

The Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava has announced two concert programs centered on the works of Johannes Brahms for mid-October.

On October 15, the orchestra will perform Brahms’ Hungarian Dances (Nos. 1, 3, and 10) alongside Béla Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 1, featuring pianist Anna Vinnitskaya. This performance marks the centenary of the Bartók concerto. The evening will conclude with Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 in F major, Op. 90.

A second, shorter concert is scheduled for October 16, focusing exclusively on the aforementioned Brahms works. Both evenings will be conducted by the orchestra’s chief conductor, Daniel Raiskin.
