Janez Janša to face parliamentary questions in Slovenia
Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša is set to answer parliamentary questions for the first time in his current mandate during the concluding session of the National Assembly.
Opposition leaders have prepared several inquiries. Robert Golob of the Freedom Movement and Andreja Katič of the Social Democrats will question the Prime Minister regarding shifts in Slovenian foreign policy, specifically concerning the country’s changing stance toward Israel and its departure from certain EU positions.
Asta Vrečko, leader of the Left, will ask about the fulfillment of pre-election promises, while SDS deputy Aleš Hojs will focus on measures to combat organized crime and illegal drug trafficking. The session follows Janša’s recent attendance at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
