Jannik Sinner to return for Six Kings Slam in Riyadh

Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner is set to participate in the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Sinner, a two-time defending champion, had previously withdrawn due to a knee injury, with American player Learner Tien stepping in as his replacement.

The tournament has been rescheduled from late October to December 27 through December 30, a delay attributed to security concerns and organizational difficulties stemming from tensions in the Middle East. This postponement provides Sinner with the necessary time to recover from his injury.

Learner Tien expressed that the news of Sinner’s return was not unexpected, noting that the two-month delay made Sinner’s recovery timeline much clearer. If the tournament bracket is adjusted to accommodate Sinner, he could potentially face Alex De Minaur in the quarterfinals and Novak Djokovic in the semifinals.
