Japan Announces Summer Water-Themed Events at Sunshine Aquarium and Noboribetsu Bear Farm

The Sunshine Aquarium in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district will hold a "Cool Summer Festival" from July 17 to August 30, 2026. The program features enhanced water‑cannon shows, special octopus displays, penguin‑themed merchandise, and morning‑ticket discounts.

At Hokkaido’s Noboribetsu Bear Farm, a "Splash Time" bear‑water‑bath experience will run from July 18 to August 31, 2026. Visitors can watch bears being sprayed with water and, for a limited number of groups, join the short splash activity. Both events aim to provide cooling entertainment during the predicted heatwave season.
