Japan announces various anime-themed dining collaborations for late 2026

Various anime and character-themed dining collaborations are scheduled to launch across Japan in late 2026.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the TV anime ‘Detective Conan’, a permanent ‘Detective Conan Diner’ will open in the winter of 2026 at Shibuya Stream in Tokyo. The establishment will feature a British classic modern diner atmosphere and offer a menu inspired by characters such as Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri, and Shinichi Kudo, alongside original character-themed merchandise.

Other upcoming themed events include a collaboration cafe with the San-X character ‘Nyannyan Nyanko’ at S-PiCK CAFE in Tokyo and COLLABO PARADISE in Nagoya, starting October 2, 2026. This event will feature Chinese-style themed menus and original goods.

Additionally, the Japanese restaurant Tsunokuni at Miyako Hotel Amagasaki will host a ‘Nintama Rantaro’ collaboration lunch starting October 2, 2026. The special set menu, titled ‘Shokudo no Obachan no Okondate’, will include dishes inspired by the series and come with limited-edition menus and stickers.
