Typhoon 25 causes nine deaths and multiple missing in Japan

Typhoon No. 25 has caused significant casualties and property damage across Chiba and Kanagawa prefectures in Japan. As of recent reports, the death toll has reached nine people, with four others still missing.

In Kanagawa Prefecture, landslides have been reported in Miura City and Yokosuka City, resulting in at least two deaths and three missing persons. In Chiba Prefecture, the impact has been severe, with five deaths and two people missing following landslides. One victim in Chiba was identified as an elderly woman in Mobara City.

Residential damage is extensive, particularly in Chiba, where hundreds of homes have experienced varying degrees of flooding or structural damage, including 19 houses completely destroyed. Authorities are warning of continued risks of landslides as rain persists in the affected regions.
