Japan Financial Education Support Organization holds 4th FES Contest

The Japan Financial Education Support Organization is expanding its 4th FES Contest, a national competition where middle and high school students create 45 to 60-second educational videos for elementary students. The contest focuses on the “eight powers of money,” covering themes such as spending, earning, paying, saving, preparing, gifting, borrowing, and increasing wealth.

In Hyogo Prefecture, the regional competition will feature an awards ceremony at the Kobe Art Center on November 1. A recent workshop in Kobe saw a record turnout of 40 students.

In Tokyo, the organization is launching its first Tokyo regional competition, with the awards ceremony scheduled to take place in Hachioji. This initiative aims to leverage Hachioji’s status as a “学園都市” (academic city) to foster a model of generational learning. The Tokyo competition includes a special “International Financial City Tokyo Award” established by Community-Based Co., Ltd. The judging process will evaluate not only financial knowledge and video production but also the students' ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex topics.
