Japan Financial Education Support Organization FES Contest
Overview
The Japan Financial Education Support Organization is conducting its 4th FES Contest, a nationwide initiative where junior and senior high school students produce 45 to 60-second financial education videos for elementary school students. The contest focuses on the ‘eight powers of money’: using, earning, paying, saving, preparing, giving, borrowing, and increasing.
To support the competition, workshops have been held in locations such as Fukuoka Prefecture, Suginami Ward, and Kobe. In Hyogo Prefecture, a regional competition is scheduled for an awards ceremony at the Kobe Art Center on November 1.
The organization is also launching its first Tokyo regional competition, with an awards ceremony planned for Hachioji. This Tokyo initiative includes a special ‘International Financial City Tokyo Award’ established by Community-Based Co., Ltd. To foster intergenerational learning, the organization is recruiting elementary school students to serve as judges for regional ceremonies across 11 regions, including Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
