Japan hosts two local market fairs in July and October 2026

The East Omi Tourism Promotion Council in Shiga prefecture is recruiting vendors for the “East Omi Joint Marche” to be held on 17 October 2026 at the Azuchi Bungei no Sato central plaza. The event, which will also host the “Mobile Castle Expo in Shiga–Biwa Lake,” aims to boost regional tourism and circulation. Applications from local individuals or groups must be submitted by 24 July 2026 via fax, email, post or in person, with a selection of 20‑30 stalls covering food tents, kitchen‑cars and workshops.

In Osaka, the “Gohōbi Marche” will take place on 15 July 2026 near Kawachi‑Kōsaka Station. The invitation‑only fair offers beauty and divination experiences, including color therapy, ear‑acupuncture jewelry, San‑myō‑gaku destiny readings and numerology. Visitors can choose one‑hour time slots between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., and must reserve through an Instagram QR code or direct message.
