Japan Olympic Committee to host Pokémon sports exhibition

The Japan Olympic Committee (JOC) will host a special exhibition titled ‘Pokémon and Athlete Moves Exhibition’ at the Japan Olympic Museum in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Running from September 19 to November 23, the event is free to enter in the museum's first-floor Welcome Salon.

The exhibition is part of the ‘JOC Kids Sports Ambassador’ initiative, designed to teach children the joy of sports. It features 59 different Pokémon selected to represent various sporting disciplines. The exhibit is divided into four interactive sections:

- Comparing Moves: Comparing the technical skills of athletes with the unique moves used by Pokémon in battle. - Moves and Poses: An area where visitors can mimic and photograph the characteristic poses of athletes and Pokémon. - Moves and Tools: A display of actual sporting equipment to show how tools enhance performance, similar to how Pokémon items function. - Trying Moves: An experiential area featuring simulators and physical activities to help visitors understand the mechanics of different sports.

Additionally, a quiz rally featuring Pikachu will be held, offering original stickers to participants. A dedicated website, ‘Pokémon Sports Park,’ has also been launched to provide further information on the collaboration.
