Japan political leaders address Chiba floods and Kumamoto earthquake recovery

Separately, the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan held its 159th Standing Executive Committee meeting. Party leader Shunichi Mizuoka expressed concern over the Kumamoto earthquake, noting that three weeks after the event, some residents still lack access to running water and face difficult evacuation conditions.
