Japan railway companies announce various seasonal events and experiences
Various railway-themed events and experiences are scheduled across Japan for late 2026.
Hokusō Railway will host a parent-child driving experience on October 18, 2026, at Inzai-Makinohara Station, allowing elementary school students to operate the 9100 series C-Flyer and practice conductor duties.
Seibu Railway has announced two specialized programs: a late-night photography session at the Seimaru Tunnel Signal Station on October 3–4, featuring the 4000 series, and a professional job experience day on October 4, where children can practice driving the 2000 series and learn about timetable creation.
Mizushima Rinkai Railway will hold its 2026 Railway Day Commemorative Festa on October 25 at Kurashiki Freight Terminal Station. The event includes special rides on the KiHa 205 railcar and Yo 8000 conductor cars, alongside local food and workshops.
The Railway Museum in Saitama will feature several September events, including exhibitions related to railway advertising, workshops, and special public access to various locomotive driving cabs and conductor rooms.
