Japan railway disruptions continue following heavy rain and typhoons
Recent heavy rainfall and typhoons in Japan have caused significant disruptions to regional railway networks. In Chiba Prefecture, authorities have abandoned efforts to restore the Kururi Line between Kururi and Kazusa-Kameyama stations, leading to the permanent discontinuation of that section scheduled for April next year.
Additionally, service on the Uchibo Line has been impacted, with certain sections expected to remain suspended until the end of the year. However, there is some relief for commuters as service between Anegasaki and Nagaura stations is scheduled to resume on November 9, earlier than the initial three-month estimate.
