Various regional food and culture fairs are scheduled across Japan, highlighting local specialties and traditional crafts.

In Ikebukuro, Sunshine City will host the ‘Hokkaido Marugoto Fair’ from October 8 to 12, 2026, featuring approximately 65 vendors selling seafood, mountain produce, sweets, and sake. Similarly, the ‘Setouchi Fair’ will take place at the Ebina Service Area on the Tomei Expressway from October 2 to November 9, 2026, showcasing over 200 products from eight prefectures, including seasonal fruits and denim goods.

Other notable events include the ‘Chikugo SAKE Festa 2026’ in Kurume City, scheduled for October 10–11, which will feature about 100 varieties of local sake, shochu, and wine from 20 breweries. In Tama City, the ‘Yatsugatake Nanko Fair 2026’ will be held on October 3 at Grinade Nagayama to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the friendship between Tama and Fujimi Town.

Retail-based promotions are also active, such as the ‘Shimane Fair’ at Super ABC in Matsuyama through September 30, and the ‘Hokuriku/Shinetsu Exhibition’ at Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro from September 30 to October 6. Additionally, a ‘MIND WAVE Character Shop’ featuring popular LINE sticker characters will open at Takashimaya Osaka on October 8, and a ‘Chiikawa POP UP STORE’ is set for Fukuoka Mitsukoshi.
