Japan rolls out summer food promotion campaigns in Ryujin Village and Kappa Sushi

The Ryujin Village Tourism Association in Wakayama Prefecture announced a "Ryujin Village Eat and Go!" summer campaign running from 1 June to 30 September 2026. Visitors who dine at participating local restaurants can submit receipts (or photos of receipts) through an online form for a chance to win one of ten prize packages, including a pair accommodation voucher for the seasonal Ryujin onsen, a specialty gift set, or a village‑experience set.

Sushi chain Kappa Sushi launched a five‑day promotion from 16 July to 20 July 2026. Customers who spend at least ¥3,000 per bill can upload a receipt image to enter a draw for one of twenty ¥10,000 discount vouchers. During the campaign, set menus are offered at reduced prices, with items such as salmon rolls, seafood bowls, and dessert combos sold at a few hundred yen discount.
