Japan RV Park network expands to 676 certified locations
The number of certified RV Parks in Japan has reached 676 as of the end of July 2026, according to the Japan RV Association (JRVA). The network expanded by 32 facilities in July alone, reflecting a growing trend in secure and comfortable car camping.
These facilities, which provide amenities such as 24-hour toilets, power supply, and waste disposal, are evolving from simple parking spots into experiential travel hubs. New locations include sites offering activities like pizza making, blueberry picking, and river play. Additionally, 23 new convenience store-based RV Parks were established to improve traveler convenience.
One notable facility is the RV Park Manshogen Aiue-no-mori in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Located near the Yamashiro Onsen hot spring district, it offers travelers easy access to local baths and forest scenery, including a 360-meter aerial walkway.
