Japan RV Park network expansion
Overview
The network of certified RV Parks in Japan is expanding. As of late July 2026, the Japan RV Association (JRVA) reported 676 certified locations, following an increase of 32 facilities in that month alone. These sites are transitioning from basic parking areas into experiential travel hubs that offer amenities such as power supply, waste disposal, and activities like blueberry picking or river play.
By late August 2026, the number of certified locations grew to over 686 following the certification of 12 new facilities. These new sites are distributed across various regions, including Hokkaido, Fukushima, Nagano, and Miyagi Prefecture. Many of these locations are situated near hot springs, roadside stations, or amusement parks, providing travelers with access to mineral baths, Wi-Fi, and outdoor activities such as BBQs.
