Japan to host major craft beer festivals in Saitama and Yamagata

Two major craft beer festivals are scheduled to take place in Japan during September 2026.

The Keyaki Hiroba Autumn Beer Festival will be held in Saitama New City from September 17 to 21. The event features 52 vendors offering over 300 varieties of craft beer. Notable first-time participants include HOPJAPAN from Fukushima, Oyoroko Brewery from Aichi, and SIBEERIA BREWERY from Prague, Czech Republic. The festival will also include live music performances and a beer-themed quiz competition.

In Yamagata, the ZAO BREWERY Autumn Beer Festival 2026 is set for September 21 and 22 at the Yamagin Kenmin Hall. This event will showcase seven types of craft beer, including a special edition brewed with local Yamagata passion fruit. The festival offers free admission and includes food from various kitchen cars, stage performances such as dance and DJ sets, and activities for children like sand art and traditional carnival games.
