Japan to host seasonal craft beer festivals in Tama and Kyoto

Various craft beer festivals are scheduled to take place in Japan during late summer 2026.

In Tama City, the ‘Night BEER Picnic’ will be held at Seiseki Kawamachi from August 24 to August 30. Organized by BEER BULK J, the event features over 10 types of craft beers from domestic and international sources. The week-long event includes special weekend activities such as a night run on August 29 and a handheld fireworks display on August 30.

In Kyoto, the ‘Yase Eiden Station Local Beer Festival 2026’ will take place from September 4 to September 6 at Yase-Hieizan-guchi Station. Hosted by Eizan Electric Railway, the festival utilizes the station platform as a ‘beer home’ and trains as ‘beer trains.’ Participating breweries include Kyoto Ichijoji Brewery, FUJINOMORI, and Hyogo Zigzag Brewery. The event will also offer food from various vendors and limited-edition beer glasses in collaboration with the ‘Hiei’ sightseeing train.
