Japan weather: Thunderstorm warnings in Ishikawa and Typhoon No. 18 in Okinawa
Unsettled weather conditions are affecting various regions of Japan, characterized by heavy thunderstorms, rain, and the emergence of Typhoon No. 18 in the South China Sea.
In Ishikawa Prefecture, lightning warnings have been issued across the entire region due to the risk of localized heavy thunderstorms, sudden downpours, and strong gusts. High temperatures persist, with Kanazawa expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius, necessitating heatstroke precautions.
In Okinawa, the weather is being influenced by moist air surrounding a tropical depression and the newly formed Typhoon No. 18. The Sakishima Islands are experiencing heavy rain, while the Okinawa main island and Daito Islands face cloudy skies with intermittent rain and thunderstorms. High waves and swells are also reported in coastal areas.
