Japanese beef bowl chains launch seasonal hot pot menus

Major Japanese beef bowl chains Sukiya and Yoshinoya have announced the return of their seasonal hot pot offerings for the winter season.

Sukiya will launch its ‘Beef Sukiyaki Hot Pot Set’ and ‘Beef Sesame Mala Hot Pot Set’ starting October 27. The sukiyaki option features beef and vegetables with a special sauce and includes an egg, while the mala option utilizes a spicy soup made with chili, Sichuan pepper, and sesame paste. Both options are available for dine-in and takeout.

Yoshinoya has commenced sales of its ‘Beef Sukiyaki Hot Pot Meal’ on October 23. Now in its 14th year as a winter staple, the menu features beef simmered in a sweet and salty sauce served with vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, onions, and carrots. The meal includes rice and pickles, with free rice refills available at select locations.
