Japanese cafés roll out summer lucky‑bag promos with sold‑out Sanmaru Café and UCC kits
Sanmaru Café launched its first ever summer “fukubukuro” called the 2026 Happy Summer Bag on July 21. The online sale featured three bundles – an original‑goods set with a coffee‑cup‑shaped pouch, a clear bottle and ¥5,000 worth of special tickets; a chocolate‑croissant ticket set containing tickets for five Choco‑Croissants plus ¥2,500 in tickets; and a yuzu‑tea set with a bottle of the drink and ¥2,500 in tickets. Priced at ¥5,000 or ¥2,500, the bundles sold out on the first day of online sales, prompting excitement on social media for the effective “free” value of the tickets and goods.
UCC introduced a range of summer “fukubukuro” under the name Summer Coffee Lucky Bag 2026. Two main sets were highlighted: a coffee‑home‑café set with drip coffee, milk‑coffee bases, and an exclusive tote bag, and a one‑drink‑plus‑mini‑bag set priced at ¥5,500. The bags also include assorted coffee‑flavored jellies and limited‑edition accessories. All items are sold exclusively through UCC’s online store, and several of the five available bag types have already sold out, urging shoppers to purchase quickly before stocks run out.
