Japanese coffee chains launch new seasonal beverage lines
Major coffee chains in Japan are introducing new seasonal beverage lines for the late summer and early autumn period.
Tully's Coffee has launched the ‘Choco Affogato Shaqool’, a rich chocolate drink featuring espresso made from a high-quality blend of Guatemalan and Costa Rican Arabica beans. The drink is designed to mimic an affogato by pouring espresso over chocolate-flavored frozen liquid, allowing the flavors to evolve as it is consumed. The company is also offering a ‘Ballpark Dog’ featuring five types of cheese.
Starbucks Coffee will release two new grape-themed beverages on August 17. The ‘Rich Kyoho Frozen Tea’ combines black tea with Kyoho grape base, jelly, and fruit pieces. The ‘Chilax Soda Kyoho’ features Kyoho grape pulp, jelly, and a green citrus-flavored syrup mixed with soda. Both drinks aim to provide a seasonal transition toward autumn flavors.
