Japanese companies expand shareholder benefit programs

In July 2026, 51 Japanese companies announced the establishment, expansion, or commemorative implementation of shareholder benefit programs. These programs, which provide shareholders with items such as discount vouchers, food, or original goods, are often used by companies to encourage long-term individual investment.

Koshidaka Holdings, operator of ‘Karaoke Manekineko’, announced an expansion of its benefits. The company will add February as a second rights entitlement month, effectively doubling the frequency of benefits received annually. Additionally, the scope of participating stores for benefit vouchers will be expanded to include brands such as ‘CAFE ECLA’ and ‘JOYSOUND’.

Separately, Sasatoku Printing saw its stock price rise following the announcement of a new shareholder benefit program. Under the new system, shareholders holding at least 100 shares as of June 30 will receive an original calendar.
