Japanese corporate shareholder benefit programs
Overview
In mid-2026, several Japanese companies announced the establishment or expansion of shareholder benefit programs to encourage long-term individual investment and increase market appeal.
In July, Koshidaka Holdings announced it would double the frequency of benefits by adding February as a second rights entitlement month and expanding the participating stores for its vouchers. Sasatoku Printing also saw a stock price increase following the announcement of a new program providing original calendars to shareholders.
By September, additional companies joined this trend. Vis introduced a system using the ‘Digital Benefit Club’ to award points based on shareholdings, while TO Books announced a program starting in 2027 that will provide original design QUO cards to eligible shareholders.
