Japanese confectionery makers launch new summer citrus sweets
The Hiroshima‑based confectioner Nishinido Co. will sell a limited‑edition lemon‑glazed version of its iconic Momiji cake, called “Glazed Momiji Lemon,” at its light‑rail‑adjacent store starting 18 July 2026. The product combines a chilled, lightly crisp glaze with a pastel‑yellow lemon flavor and is offered in a single‑day, quantity‑limited run.
Separately, Frank Muller Patisserie has introduced a new pastry named “Weekend Citron.” The item is being stocked at numerous nationwide venues, including Tower Records, various Tokyo‑area bars, cafés, and specialty shops, with distribution across major districts such as Roppongi, Shibuya, Harajuku, and Shinjuku. Both releases target a summer market and emphasize fresh citrus tastes.
