Japanese dessert makers launch seasonal chestnut sweets
Various Japanese dessert providers are launching seasonal chestnut-themed products for the autumn season.
A new dessert called ‘Mont Blanc CASSATA’ will be released exclusively through an official online store on September 17. The 419g product features a three-layer structure consisting of rich Mont Blanc cream, hazelnut marron cassata, and plain cassata with orange. It contains four whole Japanese chestnuts and is designed to offer different textures and sweetness levels depending on whether it is eaten frozen, semi-frozen, or fully thawed.
Additionally, the cheesecake specialty shop Atami Milchees is introducing two autumn-limited items starting September 19. These include the ‘Mont Blanc Basque,’ a smooth marron Basque cheesecake with caramel cream and Japanese chestnut toppings, and the ‘Parfait Basque Mont Blanc,’ which layers marron Basque mousse, milk chocolate crunch, and hojicha cream topped with chestnut cream and Basque cheesecake.
