Japanese entertainment news: Fuji TV quiz special and Ariyoshi social media controversy

Fuji TV will broadcast the second installment of ‘Quiz! Ikemen Paradise’ on the 29th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Hosted by Ryota Yamasato, the program features various male celebrities competing in intellectual challenges. Team RED, led by Kaito Matsukura of Travis Japan, includes Shinya from Sayaka and others, while Team BLUE is led by Masahiro Sunada of BALLISTIK BOYZ.

Separately, comedian Hiroiki Ariyoshi has faced criticism following a social media interaction involving Snow Man member Tatsuya Fukasawa. After Ariyoshi teased Fukasawa on a TV Tokyo variety program, some fans expressed dissatisfaction on X (formerly Twitter). Ariyoshi responded to a fan's negative comment by stating he would tell the individual “never to appear again.” Fukasawa later posted on Instagram, expressing a desire to continue working with Ariyoshi to mitigate the tension.

This incident has sparked debate regarding Ariyoshi’s history of engaging with social media users. While he has previously advocated for confronting “malicious” commenters, he recently noted a trend of avoiding social media and performing less ego-searching.
