Japanese food brands launch new marketing campaigns
Major Japanese food brands are launching new marketing campaigns and product updates. Toyo Suisan is celebrating the 15th anniversary of Maruchan Seimen with a new television commercial featuring actor Koji Yakusho. The campaign, which revives the classic phrase “If you think it is a lie, please eat it,” aims to return to the brand’s roots while introducing a new catchphrase, “Noodles are everything.”
Simultaneously, Marugame Seimen has announced a new TV commercial starring actress Aya Ueto to highlight the different textures of their udon. The campaign focuses on two preparation styles: “kamanuki” (straight from the pot) and “shime” (chilled in cold water). To promote this, Marugame Seimen will hold a two-day event on September 18 and 19, offering free bite-sized samples of the alternative preparation style to customers dining in at participating locations across Japan.
