Japanese food chains launch new seasonal menus

Major Japanese food service chains are introducing new seasonal menu items.

Mcdonald's has released the ‘Hokkaido Potato Pepper Tsukimi’ burger as part of its seasonal offerings. The burger features a tomato creamy sauce, bacon, a real fried egg, and a potato pepper filling in the heel, providing a flavor profile similar to German potatoes.

Yoshinoya has launched its third installment in a fish set meal series, featuring Hokkaido Pacific saury (sanma). Released on October 8, 2026, the ‘Beef and Saury Set Meal’ includes grilled saury served with a small bowl of simmered beef, rice, and miso soup. Other options include a standalone saury set meal and individual saury portions.
