Japanese food retailers launch seasonal autumn menus

Several Japanese food and beverage companies have announced new seasonal menu items for the autumn season.

Saint Marc Cafe is launching a variety of new products starting September 5. The lineup includes a ‘5-Fruit Smoothie’ featuring mango, banana, pineapple, guava, and strawberry, as well as a ‘Fruit Ice Tea’. Additionally, the cafe is introducing its first ‘Tsukimi’ (moon-viewing) themed hot sandwich, which features thick teriyaki chicken meatballs, egg, and lotus root kinpira. Other new items include a pastrami pork and fresh vegetable combo sandwich and a salmon and spinach cream pasta.

Tart specialty shop Qu'il Fait Bon will release an ‘Otsukimi Tart’ from September 15 to September 30. The dessert features white sesame blancmange, black honey, walnuts, and black sugar kinako, designed to reflect the autumn moon with rabbit and silver grass ornaments.
